Paper or Fabric is the software that runs the server. A Minecraft version is the game release it runs. Your plan determines the available software and version controls; this guide does not change your server.

Free Minecraft currently runs Paper. The software guide explains other popular options, but doesn’t select or install them. Your panel shows the software and version controls available with your plan.
Yes. Invite collaborators through the panel and choose their permissions from the tools included with your server. They use their own accounts; you keep your login private.
You can upload files through the panel or SFTP. Use a world and plugins compatible with your server’s Minecraft version and software. Stop your server and keep a separate copy before replacing world files.
Free Minecraft includes a Paper server, live console, file and SFTP access, and collaborator controls. The plan screen shows its exact resources and permissions before you create a server. Hytale hosting is planned, but isn’t available to create yet.
